Aloha, and Welcome
Welcome to Hale Ke Koa! We want to extend our gratitude for choosing this place during your stay in Kauai. In the Hawaiian language, the word Malama Aina means to care for and honor the land. This practice is what has kept Kauai beautiful and clean for everyone to enjoy. Likewise, we hope you exercise care and consideration for the property, neighbors and future guests during your stay here.
Please follow the instructions sent to your email to gain access to the property. There are no assigned parking spaces within the apartment complex parking lot, so feel free to park anywhere. See instructions below for easy check in and check out of the property. Should you have any questions or concerns, contact us here.

SELF-CHECK-IN is between 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, when staff are still within reach in case of any issues. If you're arriving later than 8:00 PM or if you anticipate needing help during check-in, please let me know in advance so we can make sure you have everything you need for a smooth check-in.
PARKING:
-You’ll find a pass inside. Fill it out and leave it on the dashboard of your car. Please don’t block the garbage disposal and access areas. Street parking isn’t allowed in Princeville.
GETTING INSIDE:
-You’ll find a Black lockbox by the door. Host will send code via platform app.
-IMPORTANT: After unlocking the door, please return the key to the lockbox. This ensures that if you ever forget the house keys from inside the unit, you'll never get locked out!
-House & pool keys are inside, on the key hanger. Maikai card is included with keys. Use at Foodland for discounts.
***When you get in, a quick note to confirm all is well would be great!
AIR CONDITIONING:
The islands rely on limited and costly energy, so every small effort counts. Please turn off the AC when the property is unoccupied, and switch off bedroom units if the rooms won’t be used for more than 30 minutes. Your thoughtfulness helps protect this special place and allows us to offer affordable rates to all our guests.
SAND:
Please rinse off sand at the front hose before coming inside. Sand can clog drains and affect our plumbing and our neighbors’, since some pipes are shared. If the master shower drains slowly, use the provided key (see photos) to lift the linear drain cover and clear any sand.
WASHER & DRYER:
Please leave the washer door slightly open when not in use. Hawaii’s humidity can cause odors, and this simple step helps keep things fresh.
CLUBHOUSE BBQ GRILL:
Instructions are on the grill. Check the gas valve first if it’s not working, then reach out if needed.
SMOKING:
Our property is entirely non-smoking, including the lanais. This applies to all forms of smoking, including cigarettes, cigars, pipes, e-cigarettes or vapes, etc. HOA imposes a $300 fine for violations. Mahalo for your understanding.
ASSISTANCE & INFO:
We want you to have a relaxing and stress-free stay! Since this is a privately owned vacation rental, there is no on-site staff available 24/7, but we’re always happy to help as promptly as possible.
EMERGENCY OR SAFETY CONCERNS: If you experience a fire, gas leak, major water leak, or a power outage affecting the entire property, please reach out to us immediately. Your safety is our priority! If you are calling after 6PM, local time, simply dial (801) 540-2192 twice in a row, within 3 minutes.
NON-URGENT REQUESTS: For minor maintenance, general inquiries, or supply restocking, we’ll take care of it as soon as possible during normal business hours (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM local time). Response times may vary, but we’ll do our best to assist you promptly.
ISSUES: If you notice any maintenance or cleaning issues that affect your stay, please let us know within 24 hours of discovering them. We care deeply about your experience and an early notice gives us the best chance to make things right quickly.
We hope you have an incredible time. If you have any questions or need anything during your stay, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
Mahalo,
Mabel

CHECK-OUT is at 10:00 AM. Since the house is quite large, our cleaning team will need plenty of time to prepare it for the next guests.
To make check-out smooth and easy, here are a few quick steps:
✅ Load & run the dishwasher
✅ Take out the trash - Please place all trash in the appropriate bins. Per HOA regulations, any cardboard you bring must be taken to the transfer station on Kuhio Hwy. You could stop by on your way to Lihue. Please check for operating hours.
✅ Place used towels in a neat pile
✅ Run a load of beach towels
✅ Turn everything off – Please switch off all lights, fans, air conditioners, and appliances.
✅ Secure the home – Close all windows and doors to keep the house safe (and to keep island critters outside!).
✅ Return keys and remotes –
Place the front door and pool keys back on the key hanger.
Return remotes to their original spots.
✅ Lock up – Use the key in the lockbox to lock the front door, then return it to the lockbox
✅ Send me a quick message once you check out.
